Totally agree! This is much more practical than Elon Musk's obsession with Mars.

Speaking of which, has anyone come across Elon saying anything about space colonies such as Island One? Why does he think settling Mars is the answer, compared to an O'Neillian style space habitat? I'm not clear whether he's even consider this.
