Out of curiosity, what's stopping you from doing this now?
Just wondering if there are any hurdles in the game itself that we could clear for you.

If you have a Mac, Windows, or Linux PC, you ought to be able to download and run the
demo. That's fully functional except that it doesn't save when you quit — so, don't quit for a few days. (You can run in windowed mode, and just put it in the background when not using it.)
Since we don't have game mode yet, and it doesn't take very long to design a habitat once you get the hang of it, it's possible to do almost as much in demo mode as you would do in the full game.
