Fusion Reactors

An explanation of how fusion is safer and cheaper than fission. Fusion reactors would make space colonies easier to build and safer to fly around without all those solarpanels flapping around.

I don't know about space colonies flying around — they're really really massive, and unlikely to be changing orbits much even with fusion reactors.

But yeah, you may have noticed the "Fusion Power" project in the project tree of the latest release.  It doesn't actually do anything yet, but we are scheduled to add fusion reactors as a part in version 0.21.
