At the moment, they differ mainly in their water processing rate. A dehumidifier produces 2000 liters of water per day; a water treatment plant produces 200,000.
We have talked about actually modeling humidity in the air, and having the dehumidifier help reduce that, but I don't think we're actually doing that yet.
